It explores the benefits of information systems (IS) in successfully managing a business and how IS improve profitability and resource efficiency, as well as discussing conceptual architecture and its impact on processes, people and organisations.
You will understand the impact of IS on today’s business environment and learn to evaluate the strategic and operational roles of IS in organisations. You will have opportunities to critically analyse the purpose, components and challenges related to BIS by exploring published research work. This unit will discuss the fundamental principles of IT and business, and how they align and complement

In this group assessment, you will analyse, design, and recommend a feasible business solution for an organisation. Your group will submit and present a report including an implementation strategy.
In this assignment, a scenario is presented in the form of a description of a company. Based on your understanding on the scenario, you are asked to write a report answering the questions at the end of this assignment. Your report should be approximately 1800-2000 words long and needs to be uploaded in Moodle by the due date as mentioned in Teaching and Assessment Plan or as per Lecturer’s instruction.
